Classrooms

In classrooms of Montessori there is anatmosphere of life. Due to the bioclimatic domes – an ingenious construction system which maximizes solar energy – every classroom is has its own microclimate.

Every classroom has its individual courtyard with a playground, lawn and garden. As an addition to our main sports centre, where our students take part in physical activities, there is aprominent garden area of 2.317 square meters covered with grass, surrounded by trees, little houses and castles especially customised to children’s needs for leisure games.

In regard to the distribution of classrooms, all of the facilities are organised according to age and needs of our students. All classrooms are equipped with toilets visible from the classroom and changing rooms for the youngest ones. In every classroom we have created pleasant and appealing spaces with the purpose of inviting our students to play while feeling perfectly safe. All materials we use meet safety standards and, where applicable, are suitably fitted for use by our students.

There are specialhalls for rest; which areprovided with music to promote relaxation and equipped with single beds and personalised blankets for each student who are always under the staff supervision.

Our classrooms for babiesare unique, and we focus on small groups in order to offer the best possible care. The rooms are located in the main building, and consist of spacious areas for babies for developing their motor functions, exploring, experimenting and studying.

The rooms also have an attachment, fenced yards with a foam ground. It is an outdoor place with awnings and a roofed area ensuring sun protectionduring warmer seasons. Infants who cannot walk yet can nevertheless enjoy the sunshine and fresh air thanks to an area with cushions and sensory blankets.

The resting area consists of a separate hall located right in front of the class(room). It is isolated from noise and any other chamber thatother people might enter. It has windows with blinds and curtains that darken the room where each baby has its own baby’s crib.
